I grew up in a traditional Chinese medicine family from China. I was apprenticed to my grandfather from the time I was a teenager. I remember my first patient was a couple of neighbors with an infertility problem. I prescript a Chinese medicine formula and three months later, the wife got pregnant after 7 years trying, and I was so inspired by the power of traditional Chinese medicine. I was soon apprenticed to a master teacher on Chinese medicine and studied it, as well as western medicine, extensively in china and the U.S.
