Yanjun (Jenny) Hu grew up in a traditional Chinese medicine family from China. She was apprenticed to her grandfather from the time she was a teenager and started treating patients when she was just 18 years old. Her first patient was a neighbor with an infertility problem whom she successfully helped to get pregnant. Jenny was so inspired by the power of tradidional Chinese medicine that she decided to study it full-time. She was soon apprenticed to a master teacher on Chinese medicine and studied it, as well as western medicine, extensively in China and the US.
Jenny received a Master of Science from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and is licensed by the medical board to practice acupuncture in both California and Oregon. She is a Diplomate by the National Board of Acupuncture as well as the National Board of Chinese Herbology. She is currently a professor of Chinese herbology at South Baylo University. She is fluent in both English and Chinese. |
