I stumbled upon acupuncture...mainly because I tried everything else. I had never had a regular period. I never knew when it was coming, how long it would last, etc. At 18, my doctor prescribed "the pill" and that worked for 7 years. When I turned 25, my body changed and the pill no longer worked. Or would work for a short period of time and than I would have to change pills. When my husband and I decided to try to have a baby, 4 years later (at the age of 29). I encountered problems from the start...no regular period, regular yeast infections, blocked fallopian tubes, abnormal hormones, etc. Every week, we discovered some new problem with my body. In addition, an abnormal cyst was found on one of my ovaries and I had to have it removed.
